Artist/producer Wade Martin chooses MW Audio to supply complete recording
package for new Phoenix project studio

MW Audio recently outfitted a new project facility in Phoenix for leading artist/producer Wade Martin (pictured right). The new package includes an Apple G5 PowerMac running Digidesign Pro Tools|HD3 7.0 DAW linked to a Digidesign Control-24 control surface. Marina Del Rey, CA: When he needed to outfit a new state-of-the art facility in Phoenix, recording artist and producer Wade Martin turned to MW Audio as his first-call for hardware at good prices with excellent support. “I asked my good friend, composer Michael Mancini, where he bought his recording equipment.  The MW Studio equipment package for WM Studio includes an Apple G5 PowerMac running Digidesign Pro Tools|HD3 V7.0 with a Digidesign Control-24 control surface. Monitoring includes Adam Audio P11a, Event PS6, Genelec 7070A and M-Audio SBX units. “I have access to a range of analog pre-amplifiers, but I also like ‘Mixing Inside the Box’ with some of these incredible new Pro Tools plug-ins.”

 Recent projects completed at the new facility, which opened officially in late-November, include a solo album, “How Did You Know,” which was tracked at Martin’s Las Vegas facility. “I’d like to get back to producing and songwriting,” he concedes, “but my solo projects let me demonstrate a wider range of stylistic capabilities.”

 “I was at the forefront of the independent revolution before it even existed,” Martin offers, and is proud to have spent his career as an independent artist and producer free from major-label control. “I have an ability to put together songs that can climb the charts, or sounds that can target specific brain waves to achieve a therapeutic end. I understand the importance of having a comfortable environment in which to work - for me, that’s one of the keys to achieving the right vision. I work with only a certain number of people at one time so that I can ensure each client gets my undivided attention.”

Martin is part of an elite group of music producers who record their own instrumentation within their work and is credited for playing over 20 different instruments. “In other words, when you hear a Wade Martin-produced song on the radio, 99% of the time I am playing all the instruments - the same can be said for the writing.” In addition, Martin arranges, mixes and produces in his own recording studios and then orchestrates the distribution and promotion of his and other’s work.
